Keep your Zoom Application Updated

Zoom regularly releases new features and updates to add functionality and make your class sessions run more smoothly.  Over the past several months these updates have added several new features for your student engagement toolkit, including the option for students to choose a breakout room and for hosts to “spotlight” up to 9 individuals for a group presentation or debate.  

Check for updates regularly to make sure you are taking advantage of all the new features.  It is a great practice to do a quick check when you first login to your Zoom application before joining a meeting. As you can see in the image, you can check by first clicking on your profile picture or initials in the upper right corner of the Zoom Application window.  You will find the option to “Check for Updates” near the bottom of the menu.
